Porsche has released photos and a few details about its 99X Electric racecar that will take part in the Formula E racing series kicking off in November 2019.
According to Malte Hüneke, head of the company’s motorsports department, the engineer team reused a number of technical solutions found in the latest Porsche Taycan EV to build the unique vehicle.
The 99X Electric will begin its official pre-race tests in Valencia in October, piloted by Andre Lotterer and Neel Jani.
