It is Porsche’s 75th birthday this year, and the automaker chose to mark the occasion with a tiny video to let us know how it plans to spend its next 75 years (no, it will not rest on its laurels).
Commenting on the anniversary, Porsche AG Board Manager Oliver Blume said the company was proud of its heritage and linked it with innovation and progress, seeing such an approach as the prerequisite for future success.
In the video, the carmaker demonstrates such classic paint options as Mint Green, Guards red and Speed Yellow, boasting that the company has ‘half a million shades and counting.’
The vid also provides a glimpse at the sketches of the original 356 and 911 models. It mixes up modern and retro cars, as well as road-legal cars with pure track weapons. A 919 Hybrid is briefly shown at the Nürburgring, and a hint is given that the virtual Vision Gran Turismo Concept may unlock new opportunities in the real world. The latter is intriguing. Could Porsche be thinking about launching an all-electric Spyder or just speaking about its design language change moving forward?
