RM Sotheby’s to auction off a collection of Porsche 911 cars

RM Sotheby’s has announced an auction to be held in March 2018 for a unique collection of Porsche 911 supercars. The starting lot price is approximately U.S. $7.5 million.

The lot includes 11 cars built on the Porsche 964 platform and one more with the Porsche 930 bodywork.

Among the highlights of the collection is an ultra-rare Porsche Carrera RSR 3.8. The car belong to a limited series of just 45 vehicles, still dons the legendary Ferrari Yellow livery and has only 765 kilometers (475 miles) on its odometer.

The lot includes one more Carrera RS 3.8, issued in 1993 as part of a limited series of 55.

The true jewel of the entire set, however, is the most sought-after Porsche 911 Turbo S X83 “Flachbau”, only 10 copies of which have ever rolled off the assembly line.

We can only guess at how much the winning bidder end up paying for this highly unique lot.
