California-based tuner S Klub has recently finished working on another splendid restomod stylistically based on the Porsche 550 a.k.a. 1500 RS Spyder. The car turned out exceptionally clean, light and powerful.
It received a Nardo Grey paintjob with stylish blue accents throughout the body, as well as a set of HRE Performance 305 multi-piece forged wheels wrapped in Toyo Tires. The cabin got to keep its two seats, but lost most of its other contents after an extensive overhaul. The result was well worth it, though, as the curb weight went all the way down to just 590 kilograms (1,300 lbs).
In view of the above, the Spyder replica could do well enough with its stock 107-hp (81-kW) engine. However, S Klub went as far as to swap it out for a superior two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine of the Subaru WRX. The result exceeded 400 hp (300 kW).
