41-year-old Porsche 911 gets a 700 hp Tesla engine

At the recently concluded SEMA Motor Show in Las-Vegas, tuner Rauh-Welt Begriff (RWB) has introduced us to a restomodded 1977 Porsche 911 Coupe. The car has gained a wide body kit and an electric engine from Tesla.

The RWB body kit consists of wheel arch extensions fastened with exposed bolts, a front bumper with a spoiler lip and a rear bumper with a modest ducktail spoiler. The latter is particularly interesting, since other RWB cars usually sport massive rear wings.

The car wears a white paintjob, which creates a pleasant contrast with the chrome-coated BBS RS wheels and their gold-tinted hardware. It also features an Elephant Racing suspension kit that sees to it that the wheels fit the arches perfectly.

Last but hardly least, RWB swapped the stock gasoline engine of the Porsche 911 with a Tesla electric motor rated at the nominal 700 hp (522 kW). Surprisingly, this didn’t require too much effort on behalf of the engineer team, which generally means that the same modification can be applied to other Porsche models as well.
