Ravensburger, a German company specializing in games and toys, has released a 3D puzzle that, once assembled, looks like a spitting copy of the Porsche 911 R supercar. The entire set costs only U.S. $29, which is a welcome break from tradition: supercar-themed merchandise tends to begin at $100, at least.
According to the manufacturer, the production process had to be optimized so as to ensure precise molding of puzzle pieces after the shape of the original 911 R.
The design of the toy pays great attention to fine detail, including such things as door handles and air intakes. There are even improvised side mirrors, headlights and wheels that actually turn!
The model is a 1:18 replica of the original car and can be played with as a toy.
