TechArt announces a limited sports car series based on the Porsche 991.2 Turbo S

Within a mere couple of weeks from the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, tuner TechArt has announced the forthcoming release of 10 custom Porsche 991.2 Turbo S sports cars, entitled “TechArt GTstreet RS”. Each will take advantage of a performance boost, a body kit, and a new interior finish.

The TechArt GTstreet RS series will come powered with the stock 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine assisted by a duo of variable-geometry turbochargers. The output of the power unit will amount to 770 hp (574 kW) and 920 Nm (678 lbft) of torque, which is an impressive 190 hp (142 kW) above the stock version. Armed with an engine like this, the tuned Porsche 991.2 Turbo S sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.5 seconds and hits 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.1s. Its top going speed is electronically limited at 340 km/h (211 mph), but the manufacturer says it can exceed 360 km/h (224 mph) under certain conditions.

On the outside, the TechArt GTstreet RS will be easily recognizable thanks to a Forged Design Carbon body kit that would provide it with additional downforce while keeping the aerodynamic drag at the same low level. One major highlight comes in the form of a retractable rear wing that can be adjusted by 15 degrees.

Compared to the original 911, the GTStreet RS build will also sport rear and rear-side windows made of lightweight and ultra-durable Corning Gorilla Glass, four titanium exhaust tips, and a special series plaque on the hood cover.

The interior of the exclusive edition will sport a new luxury trim based on leather, Alcantara and virgin wool. Customers will be able to choose their own color scheme.
