Just as promised, TechArt has brought its heavily tuned Porsche 991.2 Turbo S, dubbed “TechArt GTstreet RS”, to the Geneva automobile show in Switzerland. The sleek supercar combines a tuned engine and a luxury-laden cabin with an exterior that looks… a bit provoking, to say the least.
The matter is, the design team used “naked” visual carbon in some regions of the car body, which, depending on your mood, may or may not like dirt-splattered plastic. TechArt explained that this is what randomly arranged carbon strands look like when using a particular method of production. Whatever…
The tuner retrofitted the 3.8-liter inline-six mill of its TechArt GTstreet RS with dual variable-geometry turbochargers, thus raising its output by 200 hp / 150 kW to a grand total of 770 hp (574 kW) and 920 Nm (679 lbft) of torque.
The sports car now needs no more than 2.5 seconds to bolt from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) and 8.1 seconds to reach 200 km/h (124 mph). Furthermore, while it comes with an electronically limited top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph), TechArt Automobildesign technical CEO Steven Ratz claims it is capable of exceeding 360 km/h (224 mph) under the right conditions.
The interior trim involves large amounts of genuine leather, virgin wool and Alcantara, with the latter covering most of the dashboard, the ceiling, the central console and tunnel, the sun visors, the door panels and pillars, and even the floor mats.
Rounding off the project are six-point safety harnesses and a roll bar.
