Sotheby’s will soon be holding an auction dedicated to a 1973 Porsche 1973 Targa whose interior has been designed by the fashion house Berluti. The initial asking price is €190,000.
The entire cabin of the sports car wears an opulent custom trim that involves genuine leather and virgin wool. Chemically weathered Venezia leather adorns the driver’s footrest, the trunk area and even the engine bay. In turn, the dashboard makes use of dual-stitched brown leather with elegantly exposed seams.
The wool covers the floor mats and the removable hardtop.
The Porsche 911 Targa comes powered by a 2.4-liter boxer engine rated at 190 hp (142 kW). Combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, it takes the car from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour (0-62 mph) in eight seconds flat.
