EKanoo Racing beats its own drag strip record with a Porsche 911 Turbo S

A couple years ago, EKanoo Racing showed us a heavily tuned Porsche 911 Turbo S (991.1) capable of rending through the quarter-mile drag strip in mere 8.7 seconds. A few days ago, the team improved that time once again.

The same car as before was used for the race, and we’d imagine that the team needed to rework the Emre Levant software and tweak the Syvecs Plug and Play ECU for it to be possible. The new Dodson Motorsport transmission coupling likely also played a role, although no further specifics are provided on any of this.

One thing is certain: the job was a massive success, after all, Whereas the stock 991.1 Turbo S needs 2.9 seconds to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph), its custom counterpart needs 1.8 s and hits 200 km/h (124 mph) mere five seconds later. It covers the quarter-mile strip in 8.47 seconds, accelerating to 273 km/h (170 mph) in the process.
