The AutoTopNL YouTube team has recently taken a range-topping Porsche 911 Turbo S out for a speedway drive. The pilot not only succeeded in launching it crazy fast, but also beat the factory-limited max speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).
The sports car comes powered by an opposite-six, twin-turbo engine with 3.8 liters of displacement, 650 hp (485 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. It links to an eight-speed PDK transmission and AWD, launching the 911 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.7 seconds.
However, the example tested in the video hit 332 km/h (207 mph) on the driver’s second attempt, surpassing the alleged limit. While certainly interesting, it is also noteworthy that tuning kits exist for the latest Porsche 911 Turbo S that enable it to reduce launch time to under two seconds.
