It looks like Porsche is determined to keep expanding the 911.992 range: yet another modification of the sports car unexpectedly turned up at the Nürburgring.
Everything suggests that the spied example is a GTS trim: note especially the front bumper design, yellow brake calipers and sporty-looking exhaust. We have already seen a pre-production test car like this before, and it looked nearly the same.
Like in the previous generation, the new GTS will most likely occupy the middle ground between the Carrera S and the GT3 in terms of specs and price. It will feature a specially designed body kit, performance brakes, sports suspension and its own interior décor. The engine is also likely to get a boost compared to what the S version ships with (450 hp / 336 kW, sprints 0-100 km/h in 3.6s in AWD and 3.7s in RWD version).
Porsche does not comment on when the 911 GTS gets around to its public debut. Chances are good that the top-spec GT3 will arrive ahead of it.
