The Porsche 911 is a truly unique sports car with its history firmly rooted in tournaments and championships. Its combination of rear engine layout and RWD enables it to launch faster than many of the more expensive Ferrari and Lamborghini supercars. But the example you see before you isn’t just fast; it’s the fastest out there.
Responsible for the project is BBI Autosport, and the car itself is called the BBi VMax GT2 RS. It was once a regular GT2 RS, but then lost around 90 kilograms (200 lbs) of weight thanks to a fully stripped interior with only two basic seats, six-point harnesses and a heavy-duty roll cage.
Powering the build is the stock 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine boosted to 800 hp (596 kW) and over 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. This kind of power-to-weight combo lets the custom track tool hit 100 km/h in barely above two seconds and max out at 395 km/h (245 miles per hour). No other Porsche vehicle can get even close to that kind of top speed, and neither can most production supercars on the market right now, Bugatti and Koenigsegg representing the few exceptions.
Set aside half a million USD or more if you would like to drive your own BBi VMax GT2 RS.
