Custom 2-year-old Porsche 911 GT3 RS Weissach could be yours at a discount

A gorgeous 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is currently listed on Bring a Trailer in the United States. The car has the Weissach option package installed along with many other aftermarket upgrades, but the current top bid is only half of what it cost originally.

The first owner bought the Lizard Green coupe in 2018, ordering it with a carbon-fiber roof, paddle shifters, anti-roll bars and other Weissach factory options. The large rear wing stems from a different aftermarket vendor, while the exhaust system parts, side mirror diffusers and the roll cage come from GMG.

Interior novelty comes in the form of Schroth six-point safety belts, Rennline mats, Thinkware F800PRO video cameras and RaceLogic VBOX HD2 telemetry system. The engine stays stock, but the 90-liter fuel tank is optional.

As to the pricing, the car itself cost its owner U.S. $245,000, and all the options added at least $55,000. The top bid is at $150,000 right now. The reason is prosaic: the track projectile has around 10,000 miles (16,000 km) under its belt, including around 3,000 miles (4,830 km) of track use. This means considerable wear-and-tear by sports car standards.
