Volkswagen Group may lack serious all-terrain vehicles on its lineup, but it excels in high-riding crossovers: think Skoda Scout, Audi Allroad or Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo. And then there is this mystery car.
Rumor has it Porsche is working on a rally-ready 911 model named “Safari” after numerous third-party mods of this sports car known throughout the history. The prototype first showed up in October 2020, and now makes another appearance before the cameras rocking tall suspension and shortened aprons.
It remains to be seen whether the alleged Porsche Safari ever becomes a production car, and whether it will emerge in a limited edition or become a mass market hit.
