1016 Industries retrofits the older Porsche 911 (991) GT3 RS for racetrack use

The latest-and-greatest Porsche 911 (992) GT3 has amazing cornering performance and is otherwise superior to its predecessor, but that doesn’t mean the 991 generation is automatically made redundant. On the contrary, this is what it can achieve with a bit of tuning.

The modifications were carried out by 1016 Industries, which revealed a similar project several months ago (see video). The most immediate highlight comes in the form of a unique wrap that tastefully combines white, grey, black and green. Then there is a very extensive body kit that underlines the 911’s sporty aesthetics and grants it more downforce when needed. Included are an all-new front fascia, a rear end and a massive rear wing not unlike those on the GT3 Cup racer. The hood cover and the side mirrors are also made of the same lightweight material.

Elsewhere, the build has centerlock black wheels with green calipers behind them, a roll cage and a radar warner. The stock flat-six engine under the hood takes advantage of a performance exhaust system and an ECU tune that enable it to make 580 PS (572 hp / 427 kW).
