Singer Vehicle Design is famous for its ultra-opulent Porsche restorations, so these two new DLS-series vehicles brought to the Goodwood Festival of Speed will surely get plenty of attention from the visitors and the media alike.
The tuner explains that the priorities were a bit different this time around. In addition to just sprucing up the exterior and the cabin, Singer tried to minimize the weight of both cars while improving their acceleration capabilities. Both 911s use a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine rated at 508 PS (500 hp / 373 kW). Both also make extensive use of carbon fiber components to weigh as little as possible.
One comes painted dark green and has an ivory cabin with Tartan seats. The other one is light green and sports a cheery orange-green interior. The list of technical modifications is too long to put it here, but Singer assures us that it did everything in its power to make drivers happy – and far be it from us to doubt.
The tuning shop will be making 75 such restomods, which is a lot by its own standards – hence the Goodwood show reveal. The company will attempt to find as many customers as it can during this weekend, and assures us that every car will be extensively customized to look unlike any other.
