One-off Porsche 911 GT3 RUF RGT scores $0.3M at an auction

A splendid 2007 RUF RGT finished in Lake Placid Blue Metallic just found a new owner at an auction in the United States. Let’s see what makes it unique.

RUF worked with a 997-gen Porsche 911 GT3 here, putting it into an all-carbon body of a custom design. 19-inch OZ Superleggera wheels filled out the arches shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tires, and carbon-ceramic brakes were added for adequate deceleration (six-piston front, four-piston rear). Bilstein shock absorbers were put in place of OEM ones.

Interior modifications included Recaro seats with backs finished in the same shade of blue as the exterior, six-point safety harnesses, a roll cage, black leather upholstery, and artificial suede on the ceiling.

Powering the restomod is a bored-out and boosted variant of the stock 3.8-liter flat-six engine. RUF discloses to specifics here, but you can rely on it being more powerful than the standard 451 PS (445 hp / 332 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque.

The winning bidder parted with U.S. $301,021.
