Gunther Werks has used the recently concluded Monterey Car Weel to showcase the first finished example of its 993 Speedster Remastered, which will be coming in 25 production units.
The tuning shop spent countless hours strengthening the car body to make sure the missing roof did not compromise its integrity. In the end, the roadster is said to be every bit as robust as a coupe – complete with a roll bar, roll cage, and tie-rods where the rear seat row used to be. It also comes with a tonneau cover and a removable hard top made of carbon fiber.
An elegant Peninsula Cypan (bluish green) exterior creates a compelling contrast against vivid yellow accents outside and inside. Fuchs-style wheels use centerlocks, and aerodynamic efficiency is improved thanks to a carbon front splitter and aluminum mirror housings.
The trim formula involves leather, Alcantara and the aforementioned CFP, while the windshield sits rather low – just as befits a Speedster, of course.
