Techart rolls out the long-awaited GTstreet R Porsche 911 (992)

Several months ago, TechArt announced a project named GTstreet R, which aspired to turn the 992-gen Porsche 911 into an ultimate track weapon while keeping it suitable for daily driving. The first finished example just left the workshop.

The company claims the mods alone cost around €115,000 – an astronomical amount by most standards, but evidently a fine investment as well. The most obvious modification comes in the form of an aerodynamically refined GT-style body kit with extended wheel wells, flared fenders, two-piece side sills, a redesigned front apron, and a massive rear wing. Formula VI forged rims fill out their respective niches.

Things get even more exciting under the hood, where new turbos toil alongside improved cooling systems and tweaked software. The powertrain, which had originally pumped out 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW), now generates 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW). Techart claims the supercar can hit 350 km/h (217 mph) in a straight line, but is still suitable for casual driving.

Only 87 units will be made.
