To celebrate 20 years of presence on the Chinese market, Porsche has come up with a surreal-looking art car looking like a swan – or swan float, at any rate. The Porsche 911 (996) at its core is real and pays homage to the first such model sold in China.
We have our doubts that the car is drivable, but this is perhaps sidebar. Responsible for the design is none other than Chris Labrooy, a big fan of the German brand who turned one such car into a pink flamingo a while ago.
Labrooy, who owns a 718 Cayman GTS himself, admits that sports cars have been his passion since childhood. “I played with them, drew them, and then drove them in video games,” he says.
The swan-shaped Porsche is not for sale, but Labrooy does have other merchandise in stock. In particular, there is a painting that depicts a whole throng of Porsche cars. The artist sells reproductions of it via his website starting from $176.
