Winter is by no means a perfect season for driving a sports car, mostly due to the serious lack of traction, but the Porsche 911 (997.1) Turbo is better equipped than most with its rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. Still, a tuner from Chicago felt he wanted more.
See the result for yourself in our photo gallery here. The modifications start with lifted suspension and 17-inch HRE wheels sporting a cross-spoke design. Wrapped around them are BF Goodrich All Terrain tires suitable for winter driving.
Elsewhere, the striking Safari-esque build has heavy-duty bumper reinforcements at both ends, front arch spats, and a quartet of floodlight projectors mounted on the hood. We know nothing about its cabin or powertrain, but you can watch the embedded video for an in-depth look at the stock Porsche 911 (997.1) Turbo. The model was produced in 2006-2008 and came equipped with a flat-six engine good for 480 PS (473 hp / 353 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque.
