Cabriolets and convertibles tend to somewhat lack in agility and sportiness compared to their fixed-top counterparts. YouTuber CarExpert still wanted to know how big of a difference there will be in a drag race.
Both cars are the same Porsche 911 Turbo model powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine with 580 PS (572 hp / 427 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. Both use the same eight-speed, dual-clutch transmission called PDK to drive all four wheels. Aside from the roof, the only difference is the weight: the coupe comes in at 60 kg (132 lbs) lighter than its topless rival.
A total of five races are held with the top raised in some and lowered in others. Make sure to watch them all, the results are quite insightful.
