Marc Philipp Gemballa has brought his 750-PS Porsche 911 Turbo S ‘Marsien’ to the recently concluded Concours d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy. Let us catch a glimpse of this gorgeous project car.
First of all, there is no avoiding mentioning the engine, a 3.8-liter turbocharged flat-six unit capable of the abovementioned 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW). This enables the car to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.6 seconds and max out at 330 km/h (205 mph). Those who still desire more power may ask RUF for an alternative version rated for 830 PS (819 hp / 610 kW) and 930 Nm (686 lb-ft) of torque.
However, it is not the engine that makes this project, but the fact that the car is envisioned as a spiritual successor of sorts to the legendary Porsche 959 from the early Paris-Dakar days. To that end, it comes equipped with an automatic lift mechanism and can be set up to have up to 250 mm (10 inches) of ground clearance. The on-board electronics recognizes such drive modes as Mud, Snow, Sand and Gravel, and the tuner ships it with two tire sets for driving on roads and through the wilderness.
Only 40 Marsien units will be made starting from €494,500 for the conversion alone (you provide the donor vehicle).
