Porsche built the original 356 America sports car seven decades ago, and is now releasing an anniversary special edition in honor of the original.
The new 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America comes finished in blue with white, red-rimmed wheels. A closer look reveals silver body accents all around. Red ‘America’ pinstripes on white background at both sides round off the look. The interior makes do with black leather and some red accents.
Since the special edition is a purely visual makeover, things stay stock under the hood. This implies the same 480 metric horsepower (473 hp / 353 kW) sent to the rear wheels through a manual gearbox.
Only 115 units will be made, including 15 for Canada. Prices in the United States start from $186,370 USD.
