The latest Porsche 911 Turbo S has won countless drag strip runs, so its fans have high hopes for it whenever it hits the straight line. This time around, however, the competition might give it something to worry about.
Going up against the Turbo S is a tuned Nissan GT-R and a custom rallycross EV. The former comes equipped with a twin-turbo six-cylinder now rated at 1,100 PS (1,085 hp / 809 kW) and 1,270 Nm (937 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission carries the torque to all four wheels.
The electric racer is no slouch either with 820 PS (809 hp / 603 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal and a simple three-speed transmission.
In other words, the factory-stock Porsche with its 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque is the clear underdog here. Do you think it still has what it takes to win?
