An exotic Porsche 911 Speedster finished in a combination of red, blue and white will cross the auction block on August 19, 2022 with 2,267 km (1,408 miles) behind its back, estimated to be worth $325,000.
The main body color is the common Grand Prix White, but a dark blue top and red leather in the cabin create a unique combination.
The Speedster model (see video) was only in production in January–August 1989. Porsche made 832 units for North America, dedicating the special edition to the classic that is the 356 and styling it with a lower windshield and an original rear end.
Despite numerous design similarities with the 911 Turbo, the vehicle actually has 911 Carrera 3.2 underpinnings, hitting the wheels with 231 PS (228 hp / 170 kW). This particular example makes use of a number of OEM options that cost its original buyer $6,000 USD around three decades ago. These included a Blaupunkt radio, power-adjustable driver’s seat, a shortened gear lever and a limited-slip rear differential.
