Sportec Classic will restore your Porsche 964 with vintage looks

Sportec Classic, a company based in Zurich, Switzerland, has announced Project Ferdinand – a large-scale restoration effort targeting well-preserved Porsche 911 (964) models.

No details have been revealed so far. The tuner plans to produce exclusive restomods (restored and modified cars) with a distinct retro aesthetic and high customization opportunities. The goal is to make the 964 wider, lighter than the original, more powerful, better handling and optimal for daily driving.

The weight reduction part will be implemented through the use of composite materials, rather than stripping out the cabin. Owners will still be able to specify such a makeover, but the default project envisions such modern niceties on board as a good air conditioner, noise proofing, multi-channel audio and more. All parts intended for use are street-legal in Switzerland.

Pricing and availability details remain to be released.
