Meet Tuthill 911K, a gorgeous Porsche 91 restomod from UK that’s not a one-off

The demand for restored and modified Porsche 911 models has been crazy lately, and still does not show any signs of subsiding. UK-based tuning firm Tuthill joins the craze with its own offer now.

It is too early to talk launch dates and pricing, but the team apparently has its sights set on producing a whole bunch of such cars. Weight reduction is the overarching theme throughout the project: the bodywork will be predominantly replaced with carbon fiber. Going further, Tuthill plans to install lighter windows all around and even replace the badge at the back with one made from titanium. As a result, the coupe will weigh about as little as 850 kilos (1,875 pounds) with the liquids already in.

Power will come from an air-cooled 3.1-liter flat-six engine capable of revving up to 11,000 RPM. Power and torque specifics remain to be revealed, but the tuner plans to use six-speed manual for transmission. Exhaust system, suspension, brakes – everything will get its share of attention.

Rounding off the impressive list are interior mods. As you could easily guess by now, there is no rear seat row in this project. Instead, there is a titanium roll cage and two carbon-fiber bucket seats. Even the dashboard sports carbon trim. Cheap is one thing this beauty isn’t, not by a wide margin.
