Car restoration experts from Theon Design have produced a unique Porsche 911 (964) restomod for a Chilean customer. The main highlight of the project is its nearly all-carbon bodywork, a first one for the company.
The exterior was sprayed Viola Metallic, the shade that Porsche introduced in its 1993MY lineup dedicated to the 30th birthday of the Porsche 911. 17-inch Fuchs-style wheels were put into the arches.
Major modifications were made in the suspension department, too: the restomod rides on active electronic suspension that adjusts its stiffness on the go depending on the current road quality. The brake rotors and pads are carbon as well, and the interior keeps the bare minimum of tech on board. There is an infotainment system, some speakers and a lightweight air conditioner – and little besides. As a result, the whole car doesn’t exceed 1,164 kilograms (2,566 pounds).
Per the customer’s request, the team put a four-liter normally aspirated flat-six engine under the hood and hooked it up with a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The output amounts to 406 PS (400 hp / 298 kW) and 474 Nm (350 lb-ft).
The price was not mentioned.
