A Porsche 911 tuned by RUF will go under the hammer next month evaluated between $600,000 and $800,000. The company made 57 such cars under the common name ‘RUF Rt12’, but the seller claims this one has a unique trim-spec combo. It is also barely used with around 5,000 km (3,100 miles) on the odo.
The engine is the main thing that differentiates this particular 911 from stock. It is a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged six-pot mated to an in-house-designed six-speed manual transmission to hit all four wheels with 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW). A limited-slip differential is installed, and the top speed exceeds 360 km/h (224 mph).
The suspension makes use of purpose-built hydraulic parts and Bilstein shocks. The wheels measure 18 inches across, and the brakes have eight pistons at the front and four at the rear axle. The widebody kit, the front ‘hood’ and the engine deck lid are all made of carbon fiber.
Complementing the white body is a red cabin trimmed with leather and Alcantara. The owner had the car optioned with black seat belts and a Bose audio system. He originally paid U.S. $300,000 for it.
