Four exotic RUF-tuned Porsches in varying conditions will go on sale on March 2–3, 2023. Some of the cars are rare and others are unique. The prices aren’t public, but a similar car fetched $2,000,000 at an auction last year.
The oldest of the bunch is a 1997 RUF BTR2, which was created with a 993-gen Porsche 911 as a starting point. Compared to its donor, the project car had an updated exterior and an engine boosted to 420 PS (414 hp / 309 kW). Only a dozen or so were produced in total, reports say.
Another coupe, dubbed Turbo R, came out in the late 1990s in a production batch of 15 units. One of the owners of this particular example later sent it back to the factory for a restoration and modernization. The team that worked on the project overhauled the coupe according to the more recent 2016 Turbo R Limited specification. Among other things, it received Bilstein suspension components and a boost to 560 PS (552 hp / 412 kW).
The Turbo R lineup had a convertible in it, too – but only one. It is now going on sale with the rest, equipped with an engine rated at 490 PS (483 hp / 360 kW). It has covered around 10,000 miles (16,000 kilometers) since its production in 1998.
Rounding off the list is a 2007 RUF RK Coupe co-designed with Studiotorino, an Italian coachbuilder. The original plans involved making 49 such cars on the Porsche Cayman platform, but only two were actually produced. One of them went on public sale, while the other one – the example headed to the auction – spent its entire life sitting in the Italian museum of the company mentioned above. It packs 440 PS (434 hp / 324 kW) and goes on sale for the first time since its creation.
All four cars are being sold by one and the same collector, but they will be offered separately from each other.
