Porsche has officially confirmed its plans to bring the updated 911 GT3 RS high-performance coupe to the Geneva Motor Show 2018. There are changes both in the exterior and under the hood of this luxury-laden work of automotive art, so let’s study it in greater detail.
The hood compartment of the refreshed Porsche 911 GT3 RS conceals a revised 4.0L V6 engine effortlessly capable of 520 horsepower. It can accelerate the vehicle from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in trifling 3.2 seconds and ultimately bring it to 310 km/h (192 mph).
The external appearance of the sports vehicle has also been reworked. The designers succeeded in making it even more aggressive and aerodynamic than ever before, complete with the new LED headlights and nostril-like air vents in the hood cover. Those willing to buy one will be able to choose between several sets of designer-made wheels 20 and 21 inches large.
A peek inside the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS shows carbon bucket seats and a sports-grade steering wheel. The designers opted for the lightest, sturdiest materials available in the automotive industry to make the car weigh as little as possible, and also decided against a second row of seats for the same reason.
The updated 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is now available via pre-orders with prices starting at €195,137 in Europe.
