Porsche 911 revealed in form, but not in essence

Fans of the German luxury car brand Porsche have recently enjoyed their first opportunity to throw a glance at the next-generation Porsche 911 – but many ended up a bit disappointed. The company only went as far as to show some camouflaged photos of the much-anticipated car and never revealed any of its technical characteristics.

A few major announcements connected with the forthcoming release of the updated Porsche 911 have still been made. For instance, it has been reiterated that the vehicle will be ideal for retro car lovers – its overall design may benefit from state-of-the-art automotive technology, but electronic equipment and features will be kept to a minimum.

Industry-savvy car professionals point out that a high-end Turbo S version of the refreshed Porsche 911 coupe will likely be released as well with an engine capable of at least 630 horsepower. It will also likely take advantage of the new MMB car platform for increased overall durability and reduced weight.

The new Porsche 911 shall premiere at the Paris Motor Show in October 2018.
