A tuning company fittingly named Sacrilege Motors has unveiled a fully restored, electrified Porsche 911 America Roadster. Only A quarter of a thousand such cars were made in total, and this one rolled off the assembly line 31 years ago.
In its battery-powered form, the droptop uses a 507-PS (500-hp /373-kW) Tesla Model S motor to drive the wheels. With 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal, it sprints 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in under four seconds.
The battery pack is medium-sized at 62 kilowatt-hours and only yields 322 km (200 miles) of range per charge. However, it is thanks to this smaller battery that the car manages to stay light at just 1,450 kilos (3,200 pounds).
Other noteworthy upgrades include a limited-slip differential, Brembo performance brakes with slotted rotors, and Penske track-ready shocks. The pricing details haven’t been revealed, but the tuner is ready to process similar requests.
