Gunther Werks, a company known for its Porsche 911 restoration and modification projects, has attended The Quail this year with a new project, called Touring Turbo Edition Coupe.
The car is based on the 911 (993) and draws its power from a 4.0-liter flat-six engine. However, while that may sound normal for a 911, this particular project swaps out the stock air-cooled engine and puts a new one under the hood. The twin-turbo mill was developed by Rothsport Racing and delivers an impressive 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW) to the rear wheels through an overhauled six-speed manual transmission by Getrag.
Most of the bodywork is carbon-fiber for maximum weight reduction, and the seats inside are carbon-backed as well.
