RM Sotheby’s will hold an auction in early December dedicated to the so-called White Collection. It comprises 56 white Porsche cars, as well as some custom-built vehicles and some memorable items. Some of them are poised to fetch $3,000,000 or more.
The bulk of the bunch are 911 models produced throughout the decades. Nearly every generation of the legendary sports car is present. The oldest example was made in 1965, while the newest one is a 911 Targa Heritage Design that left the assembly line in 2021.
Some older vehicles are in the mix, too, including a handful of 356 models made in the late 1950s in a variety of body styles and modifications. A 1953MY Porsche 356 is present, too, as well as some 914, 924, 928 and 944 models. Rounding off the vintage lineup are two Porsche tractors finished in red.
Perhaps the most expensive example on sale is a 918 Spyder equipped with a full Weissach package and given a custom exterior: it alone may sell for U.S. $3 million. A 30-year-old Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 is just as exclusive, as it was the last in a production batch of 51 units and one out of just two street-legal examples. With 70 km (43 miles) under its belt, the auction holder expects to move it for $2.0–2.5 million.
The whole collection consists of 556 auction lots. Aside from the assorted Porsches, there are several other custom-made vehicles on sale, lots of accessories (apparel, furniture and jewelry), kids’ cars, bicycles, helmets, audio hardware, and more.
