A resurrected Porsche 911 RSR will set you back $360k

A dealership named Throttleshop is selling a one-off 1977 Porsche 911 RSR restored and modified by Design Velke. The seller claims that the car only has 10 miles (16 km) on it thanks to an engine transplant, and is asking for a cool $359,990.

Porsche introduced the road-legal 911 Carrera RS and RSR in the mid-seventies to homologate their racing-only counterpart. Only a handful was produced, driving their current prices into the seven-digit USD territory. Design Velke, which operates from Winsconsin, creates convincing 911 RSR replicas based on the regular 911 coupes from the same era using numerous custom-fabricated components.

This specific 911 RSR Recreation features several new body and trim panels, rides on modern suspension components and offers a rather simplistic interior. The latter has two bucket seats, analog instrument gauges and retro controls – no infotainment, AC or power windows, to say nothing of the more advanced modern equipment.

The genuine RSR models ran different engines with up to 3 liters of displacement. The RSR Recreation benefits from a custom 3.2-liter Mahle six-pot amended with OEM Porsche internals. It delivers 280 PS (276 hp / 206 kW) to a five-speed manual transmission.
