At a Monterey Car Week two years ago, Gunther Werks announced the production of 25 Porsche 993 Speedster restomods. Another example has just been finished and sent to its owner in Texas.
The car wears a lightweight carbon body and kit, including fender flares, aerodynamic humps behind the seats, a ducktail spoiler and mirror caps. The brake calipers match the main body color and the same applies to the lower dashboard in the cabin.
The rest of the dash panel, the seats, the steering wheel and the gear shifter base are trimmed in navy-blue Alcantara with generous carbon accents throughout.
Power comes from a custom Rothsport Racing engine, a 4.0-liter flat-six mill tuned to deliver 441 PS (435 hp / 324 kW) and 454 Nm (335 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission benefits from some reinforcements, too, but otherwise stays stock.
Set aside $850,000 or more if you would like a restomod like this from Gunther Werks.
