An ultra-rare Porsche 911 2.7S issued all the way back in 1976 is now available on eBay at meager U.S. $19,000. Why the ridiculously low price tag?
Eh, it was obvious from the news caption, wasn’t it. Have a look at the photos – doesn’t the poor vehicle look just like something that has spent several years underwater? That’s not much of a strain, either: the previous owner of this Porsche 911 2.7S left it to rot under a flimsy leaky lean-to in 1997, which caused the car to gradually accumulate rust, moss, and rot.
The poor Porsche 911 2.7S has over 200,000 kilometers (~125,000 miles) on its odometer, rendering a complete overhaul exorbitantly expensive. That’s why its current owner is looking for a buyer who would just exhibit the battered vehicle for everyone to see as a monument to life’s transiency and Nature’s ruthlessness.
