17-year-old, RUF-built Porsche 911 can be yours for $305k+

RUF has earned quite a name for itself over multiple decades of tuning Porsche vehicles, guaranteeing a steady demand and luxury pricing for its projects. The coupe shown here is 17 years old with over 50,000 km (31,000 miles) on the odometer, but the bidding has already passed $300,000 with two days remaining on the auction clock.

The base vehicle here is a Porsche 911 (997) that received carbon-ceramic brake rotors, the tuner’s 19-inch Superleggera wheels, an LSD and an adaptive suspension system with a front-end lift for driving over speed bumps.

RUF produced these coupes in 2007, calling them RT 12. Most of them retained their stock engines with some improvements, but this one was swapped to the 911 Turbo (996) flat-six. A displacement volume boost to 3.8 liters and some other improvements let it output 660 PS (650 hp / 485 kW) and 870 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels – more than even the latest Turbo S can manage.

The exterior stayed largely stock with mildly flared rear fenders, side sill extensions, a PPF on the front end, and tinted windows. Inside, there is a modern Kenwood head unit, new dash instruments, a different steering wheel and a RUF shifter. As befits any track-ready Porsche, this one has a roll cage in the back.

Look it up on Cars&Bids if interested. The car itself currently resides in Texas.
