RML celebrates 40th birthday with a special Porsche 911 tuning kit

British tuner RML Group has made a name for itself producing custom Porsches (like the one in the video here), and is now going to mark turning 40 years old by releasing a special tuning package for the entire 911 lineup. Both the visuals and the engine get upgraded.

The two images revealed thus far depict a modern Porsche 911 (992) with considerably redesigned front and rear. The front end gets a ventilated hood, aggressive air intakes in the front bumper and flared fenders housing aftermarket alloy wheels. The rear end looks even farther removed from stock with its wider, bulkier styling.

Hypercars from the 24 Hours of Le Mans became the tuner’s main source of inspiration for the project. While announcing it, RML Group CEO Michael Mallock promised customers an “ultra-lightweight, super-safe race car” with Formula-grade aerodynamics, superior engine output and uncompromised handling. He didn’t provide any specifics on these points, but said he was looking forward to sharing more soon, so stay tuned if you are interested.
