Pogea Racing unveils its vision of a proper modern-era Porsche 964

The Germany-based team of tuners and racing drivers at Pogea Racing came up with a full tuning program for the Porsche 964, dressing it out in carbon fiber top to bottom. Customers can also look forward to chassis improvements, three powertrain options and a bespoke interior.

For starters, the company dismantles the entire car, reinforces the chassis as necessary, and rebuilds it again from in-house-fabricated carbon-fiber panels. The front bumper begins to resemble the 992.2 GT3, the rear fenders become 88 mm (3.5 inches) wider than stock, and a towering rear wing appears on the engine lid. The arches also get what the tuner claims are functional air intakes for the engine bay.

Which brings us to the next major point. In its most basic form, the restomod ships with a 3.6-liter, naturally aspirated flat-six engine. Its output isn’t stated anywhere, but the company claims that it’s the optimal choice for those who want sharp throttle response and optimal handling.

Paying extra nets you a turbocharged variant of the 3.6-liter mill rated at 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW), and going for the top spec lands you a 4.0-liter twin-turbo unit with 500 PS (493 hp / 368 kW) to spare. All three powertrains are developed and tested in cooperation with Switzerland-based company EGMO.

Like we said above, the interior can be trimmed in accordance to your wishes. Pogea doesn’t reveal how many units it plans to deliver, explaining that all cars will be made to order. The pricing details are upon request only, but the good news is that the orders are already open.
