A man in USA forces his seedy 1975 Porsche 911 S beyond 600 hp

U.S. car enthusiast Robert “Mefi Bob” Radke has bought a derelict Porsche 911 S supercar issued all the way back in 1975. The vehicle didn’t even have an engine – but, apparently, that was exactly what the man wanted.

He took a humongous, General Motors-produced 6.3-liter V8 engine – the same that comes with the Chevrolet Corvette – and squeezed it under the hood of his latest purchase. He didn’t want to dismount the existing motor brackets and install new ones in their place, so he chose to go with the special engine installation kit by Renegade Hybrids. As a result, the car accommodated the giant unit perfectly.

In order to get the most out of his new motor, Bob flashed a custom version of control firmware, bringing the performance up to 611 hp / 456 kW and 740 Nm / 546 lb·ft of torque, the latter obtainable at 2,000 RPM and above. He left the engine to work in conjunction with the old four-speed automatic transmission.

The restored car isn’t just in perfect running condition – such vehicles often are – but actually leaves most of the competition behind in clouds of dust.
