The car is beaten up on all sides, its airbags and belt tensioners fired and body far beyond the ‘buff right out’ point. After a thorough inspection, it was deemed beyond repair and no longer road-legal, not even if you pour in hundreds of thousands to get it back on track. On the plus side, the engine and the transmission appear largely intact and could probably be used elsewhere.
