Video: Porsche 911 GT3 runs faster with motorsports-themed stickers on

Here’s the definitive answer to the question you’ve all been wondering about all along: is it true that putting racing stickers on your car makes it faster?

The drag race took place between two Porsche 911 GT3 models. Both had their stock naturally aspirated engines rated at 508 PS (501 hp / 374 kW), and both hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds flat. One is finished white, and the other takes advantage of all kinds of decals and graphics.

Okay, so the other one’s actually a racecar. It’s a GT3 Cup, which is identical in power to its road-going counterpart, but weighs 175 kg (386 lbs) less. Do you think it has everything necessary to win?

Watch the video and find out which of the two Porsches completes its quarter-mile runs first. Note that neither won all races. The one with the stickers on did seem faster, though, wouldn’t you say? Just don’t forget to strip the cabin clean of the heavy stuff as well if you decide to build your own racer. Stickers alone might not help.
