Here’s a much-anticipated drag race between a Porsche 911 GT3 and a Chevrolet Corvette, the former having more power and the latter, more torque.
The 911 GT3 uses a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat engine rated at 508 PS (500 hp / 373 kW) and 469 Nm (346 lb-ft). The example in the video comes with a seven-speed PDK box, but six-speed manual is also an option.
In turn, the Corvette comes equipped with a 6.2-liter non-turbo V8 rated at 482 PS (475 hp / 354 kW) and 613 Nm (452 lb-ft) of torque in the European spec featured in the video. An eight-speed automatic transmission drives the wheels.
The passports say the 911 GT3 is capable of hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds, while the ‘Vette takes half a second longer. Which one do you think will win?
