Porsche launches a $12k sound bar made from 911 GT3 exhaust

The Porsche online store has complemented the catalog with the 911 Soundbar 2.0 Pro, a sound panel styled with 911 GT3 exhaust system parts. The asking price of $12,000 buys you a moderately used first-gen Porsche Boxster in the United States.

The audio speaker features 300 watts of 3D sound, Dolby Atmos support and HDMI connectivity. It also works with Apple AirPlay and Chromecast. Weighing in a hefty 65 kilos (143 pounds), it can be mounted on a wall or placed on a level surface.

Porsche and its design department will only make 500 such sound bars in total, which explains the price. For example, the first-gen 911 Soundbar model did not have a limited production run and is still available for around $3,500.
