It has been more than half a century since Porsche started its partnership with Recaro, but their latest collaboration is not on a car or car accessory: rather, it is a comfortable chair for video game enthusiasts.
Dubbed the Porsche x Recaro Gaming Chair, it was first introduced during a virtual Le Mans race attended by an also-virtual 911 GT3 R prototype (marking the first time we saw that racecar in action, even if not real).
As you can see, the headrest even has two openings for the racing harness, but the belts themselves aren’t included. The front side bears the Porsche coat-of-arms, while the back sports a Recaro logo. The armrests feature aluminum supports and multiple adjustments, while the seat base itself comes manufactured from an aluminum alloy. The seat is rated for users weighing up to 150 kg (330 pounds).
A total of 911 units will be produced and offered at U.S. $2,499. You may want to check out the short video for other collabs between Porsche and Recaro.
