Watch a Porsche 918 Spyder sprint to 344 km/h

The Porsche 918 Spyder retired in 2015 after only two years in production and 918 units made in total. Still, as the video below demonstrates, it still impresses with its sheer acceleration.

The version shown here has the Weissach package installed and is being driven on the Kennedy Space Center grounds. Once past the start line, the hypercar proceeds to accelerate to its top speed of 344 km/h (214 mph) on a stretch barely over 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) long.

In case you forgot, the 918 Spyder is a hybrid vehicle powered by a 4.6-liter V8, dual electric motors and a rather small battery. Its combined power is 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW).
